You can serve this German classic up as the main course or you can have it as a side dish. You are going to love how thick and creamy everything tastes together. This truly is better than Mac & Cheese.

- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:
- Bring a pot of water to a boil.
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, eggs, milk, salt and pepper.
- Cover and place in refrigerator for an hour (I did try it after ten minutes and there was a bit of a difference, but it wasn't bad!)
- Bring a pot of water to a boil.
- For small spaetzle: using the biggest holes on a grater or a colander with large holes, press spaetzle mixture through holes and cook for about 2 minutes. Remove spaetzle with a slotted spoon.
Finished!
Once this is made you can serve it warm or at room temperature, luke warm, with some cheese on top and caramelized onions.
