This Thanksgiving why not try something a little different. Sure anyone can put a turkey in the oven for a few hours but why not take the flavor up a notch with this deep-fried turkey with a southern rub.
For those who have never tasted the deliciousness that is deep fried turkey, there is always a level of skepticism that happens. They sort of curl up their nose at the thought of having anything “deep-fried” on a holiday such as a thanksgiving! The imagine a greasy, soggy turkey and have flashbacks of bad carnival foods yet anyone who has actually tried a deep fried turkey knows just how amazing the flavor is!
Deep frying a turkey in peanut oil keeps the turkey juicy without being greasy and gives the outside skin the best crisp you will ever find!
So let's take a look at what ingredients we will need for this deep-fried holiday feast!
